I discovered a new Twitter tool this week! Thought I would share…

I have never been a great fan of fully or semi-automating your tweets in the Twitter timeline. But, I know to many it is how they conduct their social media activities on Twitter…For you live Tweets people or automated Tweets people, here is a neat application!

TwitCatch offers users a free way to look up and see present conversations from the Twitter timeline. Also on the same results page, the ability to conduct replies and follow multiple tweets!

Positives:

-Free application to use.
-Simplicity in using this application involves entering keywords.
-Advanced settings allowing users the ability to choose number of pages targeted tweets to appear on, number of tweets results per page, and choose the tweet mood type or social tone of tweet conversation.
-Ease of use and easy to understand directions and well labeled buttons.
-Fill-in boxes located on seperate pages for keyword search and where you want your tweets to be located.
-Results page showing tweets taken from the Twitter timeline.
-On the results page, a way to check certain tweets you wish to communicate with, create a message, add your target link or website address, follow certain tweeters, and send your message with the push of one button.

Negatives:

-Presently being beta-tested.
-To conduct another search you will have to click back thru the back button to the application entry page.
-Message box on results page allows 115 charcters total.
-Searchers need to be keyword saavy to find the right conversations or tweets. No drops down available.
-Need to have a Twitter account to log on.
-Presently no way to recieve e-mail alerts of your searches.
-Cannot save or store searches.

This is a very simple tool to use and manipulate if you have experience on other Twitter tools or computer experience. TwitCatch offers very focused opportunity for real-time combined Twitter communication with one simple automation feature. In addition, this application offers ways to create brand and program awareness, brand beta-testing, and determine 3 types of social tones of on-line inhabitants. This application only works with Twitter.
